In 2018, the hospital was accredited by the ACHSI until 2023.
Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI)
At the local level, IMC was accredited by (CBAHI) on November 2017. The principal function of CBAHI is to set the healthcare quality and patient safety standards against which all healthcare facilities are evaluated for evidence of compliance.
Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation
The hospital was accredited by the (JCI) for assessing the quality of healthcare services in hospitals, with the highest success rate in the region in 2008. This was followed by a second accreditation in 2011 in order for the hospital to achieve an unprecedented success rate, and a third accreditation in 2014; with a consistent success rate, then for the fourth time in January 2017 until January 2020. The JCI had direct involvement in the building process of the IMC from the very beginning. The JCI is considered the global accreditation body for quality practice in healthcare institutions
Best Healing Environment Award
IMC was chosen for this award in recognition of its unique “Healing by Design” concept which incorporates elements that promotes healing such as natural light in all rooms, gardens spread around the hospital to provide a healing environment with respect of privacy and integrity of all patients, and makes IMC a pioneer in applying medical and architectural international standards.
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Report
The IMC was the recipient of an (A) level by the GRI following the publication of its first Corporate Responsibility Report in 2011. The GRI aims to prompt all organizations towards sustainable development and increased transparency and accountability
Hospital Build Middle East Award
In 2011, IMC was voted the Best Hospital Design in Dubai. The IMC is the only hospital in the Kingdom to win this award which recognizes sustainable projects and distinguished architectural designs in the Middle East.
King Khalid Award for Responsible Competitiveness
IMC received this prestigious award in 2010 which acknowledges businesses that handle social and environmental issues throughout their business core operations, adopt environmental management systems, improve the quality of local talents, and apply health and safety standards in their supply chains in addition to their contribution to society.
Makah Award for Distinguished Architecture
IMC was chosen for this award in 2011 for its marvelous enrichment of the architectural scene of the city of Jeddah. The award was introduced to encourage local businesses towards more creativeness, high performance and architectural excellence.
Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority Award
In 2005, IMC was awarded the best foreign investment of healthcare in Saudi Arabia in acknowledgment of the center’s pioneering spirit and actual success of attracting renowned international affiliations to the Kingdom.
King Abdul Aziz Quality Award
In 2020, the International Medical Center won the Silver King Abdulaziz Quality Award for the Private Health Facilities Category and was the single private hospital to win in this round. The award aims to motivate the manufacturing and service sectors to implement comprehensive quality principles and technologies in order to increase the quality of performance, and achieve both customer satisfaction and the continuous improvement of their internal processes.
